Urban Design Studio works primarily with sophisticated private-sector clients, including experienced developers, healthcare systems, institutions, commercial property owners, and residential developers. The position requires strong judgment, clear communication, responsiveness, and the ability to help move complex entitlement projects through the local government approval process.

Our team has been involved in many of the region’s most significant and high-profile planning and development projects, including Avenir, Alton, Alan B. Miller Medical Center, Mandarin Oriental, CityPlace, K-Park, and many others.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 5 years of planning experience in the South Florida market
• Strong knowledge of land use, zoning, entitlement, and site plan approval processes
• Experience preparing applications, code reviews, staff responses, public hearing materials, and client correspondence
• Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, local government staff, and internal project teams
• Strong writing, organization, and communication skills
• Private-sector planning experience preferred
