The CHRO will serve as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team and play a key role in aligning our people strategy with our business objectives. This role oversees all aspects of human capital management, including talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation and benefits, compliance and fostering a high-performance culture.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with CEO and executive team to develop and implement a long-term HR strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Lead organizational design initiatives that support scalability and operational efficiency across multiple markets.
- Act as a cultural steward, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and mission across all regions.
Talent Management
- Drive talent acquisition, development and retention strategies to support aggressive growth plans.
- Implement leadership development and succession planning programs to build internal capability.
- Oversee performance management processes to drive accountability and results.
Employee Relations
- Lead and oversee employee relations strategies to promote a fair, respectful and inclusive workplace.
- Provide guidance and support on conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions and policy interpretation.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and compliance with all employment laws.
- Build programs and practices that foster employee engagement, retention and well-being.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
- Design and manage competitive, compensation and benefit programs aligned with market trends and company strategy.
- Oversee all aspects of benefits administration, including health, wellness, retirement and leave programs
- Evaluate and enhance benefit offerings to improve employee experience, cost efficiency and retention.
- Ensure full compliance with all benefits-related legal and regulatory requirements across multiple states and countries.
- Oversee payroll operations for multi-state workforce ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing.
Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with employment laws and regulations across all operating jurisdictions.
- Standardize and optimize HR processes while allowing for state-level customization.
- Serve as primary contact for all internal and external audits related to HR, payroll and benefits.
Qualifications
- Ten (10) plus years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally within the real estate private equity or self-storage industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Proven global experience including exposure to UK and EMEA regions.
- Demonstrated success leading HR functions in a high growth, multi-site organization.
- Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
