The City of Lake Worth Beach invites qualified individuals to apply for the position of Recreation Center Assistant - PT.
This Part time Non-Exempt position is based on a 29-hour work week with an hourly pay $16.9183 - $21.1478.
This position will report to 17 S M Street, Lake Worth Beach, 33460. Evenings and weekends required.

JOB SUMMARY:
Semi-skilled manual work in the care and maintenance of the recreation center facilities and general assistance in recreation center programs and activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a variety of manual tasks necessary to clean, maintain, and repair assigned recreation center facilities
- Assist with program personnel in the preparation of recreation facilities for scheduled events
- Assists in general servicing of patrons
- Sets up, arranges and operates lighting, sound and other equipment necessary to recreation center programs
- Assists in maintaining order at center activities
- Issues a variety of recreational supplies and equipment and effects their collection
- Collects monies for issuance of permits and various program fees and charges

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of methods and procedures necessary to routine servicing and maintenance of public buildings.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED equivalent and some experience in the maintenance and servicing of public buildings.
All full-time employees are considered critical in response to emergency situations and may be deemed essential as needed depending on the situation.
Employees in this position will be required to complete the FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) Certification Levels 100, 200, 700 and 800 within the first six months of employment. Certain positions may be required to attain additional ICS training as needed.
