- Create a positive, safe classroom that supports students’ spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth.
- Plan engaging lessons using the JCS curriculum guides, and contribute to updating them.
- Teach reading, writing, grammar, and research skills; differentiate instruction and design learner-driven activities that meet every student where they are.
- Assess student progress, give timely and constructive feedback on writing, and adjust instruction; communicate progress clearly with students, parents, and administration.

- Collaborate with your department and grade-level team; maintain accurate classroom records and resources.
- Participate in faculty meetings, trainings, and select evening events (Curriculum Night, Open House, Parent Conferences).
- Serve on a school committee and as a chaperone or advisor for activities such as REACH week, retreats, clubs, and advisory.
- Sponsor at least one co-curricular or extracurricular opportunity for students each year.
Who You Are - A follower of Jesus Christ with a clear testimony of personal faith and active involvement in an evangelical local church.
- A Christian role model to students, parents, and colleagues (1 Timothy 4:12), in and out of school.
- Someone who supports and serves well under school leadership, and communicates with integrity, discretion, and respect.
