Position Summary
The Elementary Principal serves as a key academic and spiritual leader for the grades 2–5 program on Jupiter Christian School’s West Campus. Reporting directly to the Chief Academic Officer, this role provides spiritual, academic, and operational leadership while working closely with the Academic Leadership Team to ensure alignment across divisions, school goals, and institutional priorities.
The successful candidate must be a spiritually sensitive, born-again Christian who understands and embraces the mission and philosophy of Jupiter Christian School. This leader models the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, demonstrates professional integrity, handles confidential matters with discretion, and communicates effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff.

Position classification: This position is a full time, salaried, exempt role and is considered full time, year-round
Instructional Leadership
· Leads and supervises the elementary academic program for grades 2–5.
· Provides strong instructional leadership to ensure effective curriculum implementation, excellent teaching practices, and measurable student growth.
· Reviews student achievement data and guides instructional improvement efforts.
· Partners with the Chief Academic Officer in academic planning, goal setting, and decision-making.
· Works collaboratively with the Academic Leadership Team to maintain coherence between divisional priorities and schoolwide strategic goals.
· Promotes the integration of biblical truth and Christian worldview throughout curriculum, teaching, and learning.
Student Development and Support
· Fosters a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered learning environment where students are known, supported, and challenged.
· Supports student behavior, discipline, attendance, and intervention systems with consistency, grace, and discernment.
· Encourages the development of Christian character and servant leadership in students.
· Builds strong partnerships with families to support student growth and well-being.
· Communicates regularly and professionally with parents, teachers, and students regarding student progress and student needs.
Fiscal Responsibilities
· Supports responsible stewardship of school resources in alignment with the mission and priorities of Jupiter Christian School.
· Collaborates with the Chief Academic Officer and school leadership in planning related to staffing, program needs, instructional resources, and operational priorities.
· Helps ensure that academic decisions, personnel recommendations, and program implementation reflect wise and mission-aligned use of school resources.
· Contributes to the sustainability and effectiveness of the elementary program by aligning needs with strategic initiatives and institutional priorities.
School Culture and Improvement
· Advances a Christ-centered school culture marked by spiritual formation, academic excellence, and relational trust.
· Supports strategic school improvement efforts by aligning elementary practices with institutional goals and accreditation expectations.
· Promotes a nurturing community in which students grow and engage the world through a biblical worldview.
· Maintains compliance with school policies, applicable standards, and accreditation expectations.
· Performs additional duties assigned by the Chief Academic Officer or school leadership in support of continuous improvement.
Personnel Management
· Supervises, coaches, evaluates, and supports teachers and instructional staff.
· Leads hiring, onboarding, and retention of instructional staff as needed.
· Cultivates a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented faculty culture.
· Encourages professional excellence through clear expectations, ongoing feedback, and supportive development.
· Supervises After School/Activity Manager.
Qualifications
· Master’s degree required, preferably in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
· 3 to 5 years prior elementary teaching experience required.
· Previous school administrative or leadership experience preferred
· Strong commitment to Christian education and agreement with the school’s statement of faith.
· Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, humility, and consistency.
· Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Spiritual
Must have a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior (please check the school's website (www.jupiterchristian.org) regarding personal faith alignment to the JCS statement of faith).
Must be able to demonstrate active membership and involvement in a local church.
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
