Job Summary: The Jupiter Christian School Teacher must be a spiritually sensitive individual who understands the mission and philosophy of Jupiter Christian School and is committed to helping see it become a reality in the lives of our students by manifesting, by precept and example, the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as a Christian role model (I Timothy 4:12) both in and out of school (Luke 6:40), and as an example to parents and fellow employees in judgment, dignity, respect, and Christian living according to the Conditions of Employment outlined in the JCS Faculty Contract. The teacher must be a born-again Christian with spiritual maturity in academic and leadership abilities that will enable him/her to teach God’s truth. The ability to communicate well with various types of people, handle confidential information appropriately, maintain a courteous, professional, and respectful attitude and integrity in all situations are prerequisites.

Position Description
Primary Purpose:
The Copy/Mail Room Coordinator will be in charge of all aspects of the copy room and the mail room. This person will also be in charge of maintaining adequate classroom and office supplies. The person will fill in as needed at the front desk and take on other tasks, which may be assigned. The Copy/Mail Center Coordinator should possess strong problem-solving skills, capable of resolving issues, including the ability to troubleshoot and figure things out through trial and error when necessary.

Position Classification: 10-month contract with additional hours available during the summer.

Reporting Structure
The Copy/Mail Center Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Assistant to the Chief Academic Officer.

Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinate the copy processes, designing and implementing a system that facilitates timely response and internal customer service.
  • Train the faculty and staff in the copy processes.
  • Coordinate the laminating process, and operate the laminating machine.
  • Maintain the copy room and equipment in a clean, orderly, and attractive fashion.
  • Coordinate copying, laminating, and ordering requests for all campuses.
  • Oversee the operation of the folding machine.
  • Coordinate the outgoing and incoming mail delivery system, providing timely delivery of all mail and packages. Maintain mailing equipment and advise the Business office about the most economical means of mailing.
  • Maintain an inventory of all office and copier supplies.
  • Oversee the repair and maintenance of all office equipment in the Copy/Mail Center and West Campus.
  • Maintain detailed records of all copying and mailing done so that costs can be allocated to specific departments.
  • Provide coverage for regular breaks for the receptionist, ensuring uninterrupted front desk service, and executing all standard front desk duties.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in covering the front desk, including familiarity with receptionist procedures, handling phone calls, managing security protocols, handling mail and deliveries, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of students, staff, faculty, and various department information to provide effective assistance when required.

Other Duties as Assigned at the Time of Employment
  • Oversee the teacher/staff lounge making sure that it remains tidy and uncluttered.
  • Stock supplies in the lounge and upstairs business center.
  • Serve as backup to the receptionist.
  • Cover the front desk; including covering breaks for the receptionist and handling additional tasks as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated commitment to servant leadership, organized and detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, computer manuals, and other job-related information.
  • Demonstrated administrative and supervisory skills and ability to inspire others to superior levels of performance.
  • Ability to maintain a high energy level while managing a variety of tasks and projects.
  • Since the position is physically demanding the person serving must possess significant strength and physical ability to perform all duties assigned. This position requires heavy lifting, bending, pulling, and ladder climbing.
Background and Experience Qualifications

Christian Commitment:
Personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and ability to articulate circumstances related to a genuine conversion experience. The successful candidate must endorse the school’s statement of faith without reservation and must be a member in good standing at a local church.

Educational Background:
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed at least an A.A. degree.

Professional Experience:
None required; JCS will provide training in all areas related to the position.
