Summary: We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes, payroll, benefits administration, and interfacing with IT to ensure smooth operations. The HR Coordinator is the first point of contact for employees and provides customer-focused support to the organization.
Responsibilities:
•Maintains all human resources files, records, and documentation.
•Answers frequently asked questions from team members regarding human resources policies, payroll, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to the human resources manager or director.
•Ensures consistent, proactive communication with all new hires during onboarding process. Coordinates all IT setup and provides first-day information to new hires.
•Leads the payroll function including bi-weekly processing, reviewing and auditing, and answering team member questions.
•Audits and reconciles monthly benefit invoices and provides detailed reporting to accounting.
•Provides all necessary reporting for maintenance of worker’s compensation insurance and completes annual worker’s compensation audit.
•Audits and maintains benefit carrier connections to ensure eligibility and enrollments are processed accurately.
•Processes incoming mail and handles all HR-related items including tax notices, child support, and other wage garnishments.
•Inputs all HR and administration invoices in Nexus, ensuring timely payments to vendors.
•Maintains compliance with labor laws and regulations by ensuring all HR-related records are in accordance with federal, state, and local laws (e.g., I-9 documentation, wage and hour records).
•Completes annual filings and required compliance tasks, including EEO-1 filings and nondiscrimination testing for benefit and retirement plans.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Required skills:
- At least two years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.
