Camp Teacher

Reports to: Director of Education

Summary: CSCA is looking for individuals interested in pursuing a career in science education, management, and child development. Camp Teachers will act as a figurehead on our camp team, being in charge of 15-25 campers within a classroom setting. They will oversee day-to-day activities throughout the day of camp to ensure oversight and safety of our campers while delegating tasks to camp counselors and counselors in training. We are looking for individuals with classroom management experience as a teacher, teacher's aide, or after school counselor. Those who are enthusiastic of childhood education and team coordination will be perfect fits for this position!

Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to the following:

• Leads students with assigned activities.

• Monitoring all camp students and activities, keeping an eye to safety.

• File and report any incidents to Camp manager

• Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Center.

• Other duties as required to fulfill the duties of the position.

Qualifications

• An interest in science education.

• Must be energetic, creative and engaging with a sense of humor.

• Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the campers and co-workers.

• State of Florida certified teacher

• CPR/First aid certified (class offered at candidate’s expense if necessary)
