Full job description
Reports to: Director of Education
Summary: Camp counselors will aid our camp groups in day-to-day activities. They will work as a member of our camp team to facilitate camp activities, assist in crafts, and assure the safety of our campers. Camp counselors will serve as role models for our campers so we are looking for enthusiastic, empathetic, and high energy individuals to fill this role!
Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assists students with assigned activities.
- Assist in monitoring all camp students and activities, keeping an eye to safety.
- Report any incidents to camp teacher.
- Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Center.
- Other duties as required to fulfill the duties of the position.
Qualifications
- High School degree.
- An interest in science education.
- Must be energetic, creative and engaging with a sense of humor.
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the campers and co-workers.
