Overview
We are seeking a MEP Market Leader with 15+ years of professional experience to join our growing MEP team in the West Palm Beach, FL office.
The MEP Market Leader is the leader of a team for the assigned market sector. This team usually has a specific geographic area that they serve. This leader directs a team serving a defined geographic region and can have other teams working alongside. The Market Leader is responsible for all aspects of the operation including winning work, recruiting and developing team members, getting the work done while meeting financial and team member growth targets. This role includes accountability for building a successful practice leader in an office or area and corresponding with the market sector director to get the resources needed to execute the corporate vision.

Responsibilities
Responsible: This team member does the work to complete the task. Every task needs at least one Responsible party, but it’s okay to assign more.
- Responsible for individual proposal volume and contract goals
- Responsible for creating and maintaining client relationships and industry contacts
- Responsible for retention and career growth of direct reports including activities such as appropriate one on ones, career conversations, SMART goal setting and reviews.
- Responsible for project assignments to appropriate project manager(s) for project and client type.
- Responsible for taking appropriate action to achieve results of accountable activities
Accountable: This person delegates work and is the last one to review the task or deliverable before it’s deemed complete. On some tasks, the Responsible party may also serve as the Accountable one. Just be sure you only have one Accountable person assigned to each task or deliverable. (Note: It might not be your PM!)
- Accountable for group proposal volume and contract goals
- Accountable for quality of contracts and adherence to group standards
- Accountable for projected revenue targets of direct reports
- Accountable for revenue of direct reports in conjunction with product + technology manager
- Accountable for collections efforts of direct reports, including DSO, etc.
- Accountable for project performance of direct reports including financial and client satisfaction (measured through repeat work, de minimis complaints)
Consulted: Every deliverable is strengthened by review and consultation from more than one team member. Consulted parties are typically the people who provide input based on either how it will impact their future project work or their domain of expertise on the deliverable itself.
- Consulted on project management best practices (organization, status update letters, etc)
- Consulted on appropriate requests for additional services
- Consulted on client relationships and potential new opportunities for repeat work
Informed: These team members simply need to be kept in the loop on project progress, rather than roped into the details of every deliverable.
- Informed on ongoing general project status
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Ten or more years of Project Management specific to MEP Engineering in the ground-up commercial, multifamily and renovation construction industry.
- Team oriented positive attitude required
- Ability to manage multiple projects from design through construction required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Experience in business development and proposal writing preferred
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas
