Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with 2–5 years of experience who is committed to accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
We're proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, and more. The base salary range for this position is $65,000 – $85,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with 2–5 years of experience who is committed to accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries for recurring and routine transactions to ensure timely and accurate financial recording
- Perform monthly account reconciliations, for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, credit cards, and intercompany activity
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and revenue recognition
- Maintain the general ledger by ensuring all entries are properly supported, classified, and documented
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed, including invoice coding, payment processing, and customer collections analysis
- Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting
- Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger and research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies and participate in maintaining effective internal controls
- Support external and internal audits by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations
- Maintain organized financial records, workpapers, and documentation to ensure audit readiness and operational accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or corporate environment preferred)
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis functions) and accounting software (e.g., Workday, TM1, Power BI, or similar ERP systems)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- CPA license or CPA exam candidate / progress toward certification
- Experience with month-end close processes in a mid-sized or larger organization
- Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Experience in Wealth Management
- Knowledge of additional tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel macros for reporting
