The Greene School in West Palm Beach, Florida, seeks an experienced Lower/Middle School Computer Science
Teacher.

The successful candidate will become part of an expanding Lower and Middle school computer science
program. In this role, the teacher will play an integral part in program and curriculum development as the
school continues to develop. Additionally, we are looking for individuals enthusiastic about developing and
supervising various co-curricular and extracurricular activities for students.

Required Skills/Abilities:
● Experience in integrating technology into the curriculum
● Strong understanding of foundational computer science concepts
● Understanding of grade-level computer science standards and the ability to align instruction, assessments, and projects
to academic goals
● The ability to hold students to a high and clearly articulated standard of performance
● Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask, as well as being self-motivated
● Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to design and facilitate project-based hands-on learning experiences that promote creativity, problem-solving,
and real-world application
● The candidate should be flexible and adaptive and be able to work collaboratively within a professional learning
community with colleagues and administration
● Strong interpersonal skills
● Ability to respect confidentiality and consistently exercise discretion and good business judgment
Education and Experience:
● A master’s degree with a minimum of three years teaching middle school computer science; an advanced
education degree or advanced degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
