Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Supervisor for our Design Studio. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fast-paced, large volume, high-end event Décor Company located at The Breakers Palm Beach. Previous management experience is required, and while floral production experience is preferred, it is not required. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, is also required.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Design Studio, including general team member supervision.
  • Create and book weekly schedules for team members to ensure appropriate staffing levels for the volume of business.
  • Supervise the team to ensure cleanliness and organization of the studio.
  • Provide necessary counseling to team members when needed.
  • Conduct performance feedback sessions with team members.
  • Assist in interviewing and hiring processes, creating personal team member files, and addressing staff relations/HR issues.
  • Collaborate with sales team managers to plan event setups, logistics, and any build or engineering needs related to floral and décor.
  • Prepare and organize the appropriate supplies for event setup and tear down.
  • Manage inventory in the Design Studio warehouse, including organizing, counts, breakage, and repairs.
  • Anticipate and address potential needs, conflicts, and challenges related to equipment, event design, or logistics.
  • Coordinate with other departments in relation to logistics, setup, and tear down.
  • Work with other departments on special projects.
  • Assist in event setups and floral designing as necessary.
  • Ensure proper production of floral recipes.


Qualifications:

  • Previous management experience in a similar role is required.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Flexibility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of floral production is preferred, but not required.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
