Position Summary:
The Campus Store Manager plays an integral role in the management and administration of Saint Andrew’s retail store. This position works closely with the Controller to develop store strategies to increase customer base, expand store traffic and optimize profitability. Meeting goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to store staff. Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and participate in the daily operations of the campus store
  • Interacts and supports the customer experience
  • Accountable for achieving campus store objectives, including revenue targets, inventory control and customer experience
  • Select clothing and spirit products that promote the spirit of Saint Andrew’s School
  • Establish and maintain relationships with supply and clothing vendors
  • Process purchase orders and receive inventory into the appropriate systems
  • Inventory Control, including reconciliation and reporting to the Business Office
  • E-commerce website maintenance which includes content updates, optimizing user experience and implementing security measures (PCI compliance)
  • Driving sales and building brand awareness through marketing campaigns and strategies tailored to the retail environment
  • Prepare monthly management reports which include financial performance, sales analysis, customer satisfaction as well as the annual budget
  • Create and update campus store procedures
  • Supervise staff
  • Open the campus store or operate pop up shops for select school events including those taking place on weekends or evenings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration.
  • 5-+ years of retail experience with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce principles, digital marketing, and website development.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, and Google Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer service focused, with the ability to actively listen and demonstrate empathy.
  • Possess problem solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the School.
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent attention to detail. Must be able to work in an environment of constant demands and frequent interruptions.
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and a variety of demands.
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive work environment. Desire to collaborate with others and ability to work as a team member.
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, and independence in carrying out responsibilities.

Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, and move boxes or inventory for the majority of the work day. May be required to lift up to 35 pounds.
