Responsibilities

The Leasing Director will have the responsibility of obtaining commitments and executing leases with retailers, restaurants and other tenants consistent with the established strategic plans for City Place, and the Related Ross Wellington project. He/she must clearly demonstrate an understanding of the marketplace and have relationships with a broad range of retailers, restaurateurs and the brokerage community. Additionally, the candidate will be relied upon to assist the Executive Vice President in matters related to other outreach efforts. The Leasing Director role requires exemplary presentation skills, aggressive pursuit strategies and must demonstrate a solid track record of success in transacting in highly competitive environments. He/she must have a well-known and well-respected profile in the market and be seen as being highly customer-focused.


The Related Ross team is small and highly collaborative. No one team member “owns” a deal; rather he/she participates in rapidly evolving strategies regarding approach, furthering and closing deals in real time. Therefore, it is critical the Leasing Director be team oriented, flexible and based in Palm Beach County. At the same time, there will be nominal travel requirements.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist in continually refining leasing strategies for CityPlace and Wellington.
  • Identify, contact and engage prospective tenants.
  • Show space, generate Letters of Intent and pursue responses.
  • Negotiate letters of intent and lease documents
  • Manage tenant coordination efforts
  • Participate in regular marketing meetings. Assist in creating marketing strategies to
    amplify tenant efforts.
  • Follow through as required so as to achieve overall leasing objectives.
  • Oversee leasing status reporting

Qualifications

Ideal Experience

  • 4 years college education
  • Licensed salesperson /broker in the state of Florida
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years of retail leasing experience, primarily in urban markets.
  • It is preferred the candidate has experience working in mixed use environments.
  • Demonstrable senior relationships with the major retail companies.
  • Knowledge of emerging retailers and retail concepts globally
  • Familiarity with use of sponsorship and advertising in retail centers to generate traffic and
    income
