About the Role
The Safety Manager will lead and continuously improve the company-wide safety program, ensuring compliance with MIOSHA, OSHA, and applicable regulations while promoting a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead safety program development and continuous improvement
- Conduct jobsite inspections and audits
- Partner with field teams to promote safe practices
- Maintain safety documentation and SDS/MSDS
- Oversee PPE and fall protection systems
- Develop site-specific safety and emergency plans
- Support estimating and bidding with safety requirements
- Lead JSAs and toolbox talks
- Identify and mitigate hazards
- Track certifications and compliance
- Coordinate safety training initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience in construction safety or related field
- Strong knowledge of MIOSHA and OSHA
- Experience with safety programs and audits
- Strong communication skills
- Company will support certification attainment (OSHA, HAZWOPER, etc.)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Outdoor work in varying weather
- Walking and standing on uneven terrain
- Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Travel between job sites required
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays
