What You Will Do

The Development Assembly Process Engineer is responsible for supporting the Commercial and Military development engine programs within West Palm Beach Development Operations. This role focuses on creating and maintaining work instructions, providing assembly-floor support, and executing projects aligned with business objectives.

The Process Engineer will also apply strong business acumen to drive Lean manufacturing practices, support CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) initiatives, and continuously improve development processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain development work instructions, while building and refining process engineering proficiency.
  • Collaborate with various Engineering disciplines to understand, plan, and execute development build requirements.
  • Support commercial and military engine builds and teardowns on the assembly floor.
  • Lead and promote data‑driven root cause analysis, including the use of corrective action tools to support DIVE investigations.
  • Support all EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) initiatives—including PRA, Work-Fit, and ergonomics—by ensuring safe processes across development assembly operations.
  • Drive product cost reduction initiatives and ensure cost targets are met through process improvements and the adoption of new technologies.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2 years of related experience (unless prohibited by local regulations), or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts
  • Technical proficiency in complex manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience using Minitab or other statistical software.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Manufacturing experience, ideally in gas turbine Assembly & Test.
  • Training and experience in LEAN, Continuous Improvement, CORE, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience with SAP ERP, Solumina MES, or similar manufacturing work instruction systems.

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs
or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
