Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Test Engineering Analysis Advanced Military Manager responsible for engine systems functional validation, understanding, evaluation, and learning through analysis & product test, that guides technical direction and ensures engineering quality across the P&W product lines. The main areas are test planning, test execution, data acquisition, data validity and test analysis.

The qualified individual will work for the WPB Advanced Military Test Engineering Site Manager and will also work in concert with the WPB and CT Test Engineering Analysis Managers and Supervisors.

The Test Engineering Analysis Manager is responsible for strategic leadership of the Test Analysis Engineering resources, technical strategies, and investment resources that support objectives of each engine program.

A focus on the development of our practitioners to pursue a breadth of experience within the assembly, test and analysis proficiency, including reinforcement of systems engineering.

The qualified individual will work with the Site Manager to drive the transformation of the organization with an emphasis on one cohesive team working to the same goal.

The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and team skills, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements.

Additionally, we’ll be looking for individuals with strong business acumen, willingness to implement and drive lean techniques, and the ability to develop and drive new technologies into the test engineering process.

What You Will Do:

The Test Engineering Analysis (TEA) Advanced Military Manager is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Manage a team of Test Analysis Engineers to execute program requirements

  • Align Test Engineering resources with projects that support key business initiatives

  • Increase breadth of knowledge and experience in support of discipline health

  • Effectively manage the Test Engineering support budget.

  • Implement and execute engineering changes to ensure customer requirements are met and build commitments are achieved.

  • Ensure production readiness for upcoming military, commercial and/or Advanced programs as they move from development to production across all of PSCV.

  • Establish and maintain the highest standards and expectations for quality and performance for the Test Engineering organization while ensuring employee satisfaction.

  • Develop employees through mentorship and coaching to learn and understand the sub disciplines within the Test Organization.

  • Support the PSCV site lead with strategic plans for unique test engineering requirements that are WPB site specific.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or equivalent.

  • 10+ years of experience or advanced degree w/7+ years of experience in leading validation engine projects, leading process improvement projects, and in providing guidance to others.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Proficient in the use of continuing improvement tools (CORE) to drive process improvements leading to increased customer satisfaction.

  • ​May be required to travel 10% in support of continuous learning and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong communication skills, self-starter, self-driven.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience reviewing and managing budgets.

  • A security clearance is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
