JOB SUMMARY
The Global Fleet Manager is charged with overseeing critical support functions for PSM’s Customer base. This includes timely communication and support of technical concerns on a fleet-wide and individual unit basis. The position will work hand-in-hand with our team of Global Product Managers in the stewardship of the product portfolio. The role will also collaborate closely with the commercial, service, and product development teams in support of customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead all activities in the creation, implementation, and communication of fleetwide concerns to our customers. This will include close collaboration with the technical teams for document development, working with Project Management for implementation & tracking, and the Product Managers for global communication.
- Oversee the competitiveness of PSM’s portfolio – collaborating with Sales and Supply Chain to track and report this data over time. Effort will drive strategy across Supply Chain and Product Management functions.
- Support the Tendering and Project Execution teams for Configuration Management. The role will lead efforts to track the interchangeability of PSM and OEM products across the fleet and ensure correct configuration data is provided for new proposals and outage planning.
- Support the Product Management team to define and monitor the current position of PSM’s gas turbine portfolio from the perspectives of technology, markets, and competitors; for parts, repairs, upgrades, and services.
- Support the commercialization of service solutions within the product line; ensuring it meets cost, schedule, and functional requirements necessary for defined business growth targets. Develop and secure product launch opportunities, working in conjunction with Sales and Tendering.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of the business unit’s strategy cycle and budget planning.
- Ensure global Sales support with product awareness sessions regarding existing and new products through workshops, web meetings presentations, networking, and communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- Higher level education preferred (Master’s Degree, MBA etc.)
- University coursework in the design, manufacture or repair of gas turbine components and/or University coursework in Business and Finance combined with relevant industry experience.
- Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix
Skills/Experience
- Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated ability to drive & coordinate cross functional teams.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or customer support within the gas turbine power industry.
- Proven track record of successful and complex analytical decision-making with high business impact related to the power generation industry.
- Advanced organizational skills with emphasis on customer service and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, Word and Power Point is required
- Ability to travel frequently, both domestic and internationally, is required
