About this role
Responsible for providing life skills to the early childhood workforce by supporting social and emotional well-being through a life skill coaching model. Guides early childhood practitioners through habit changes to improve the way they approach tasks and manage their personal and professional lives. Promotes practices that foster healthy connections with children and families by improving teaching practices. This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is dependent upon grant funding.What a day of an Early Learning Skills Coach looks like:
Plans, develops, and designs life skills coaching workshops and trainings based on the needs of the early childhood workforce.
Facilitates trainings related to life skills coaching and provides a learning environment that fosters effective adult learning opportunities.
Designs an intake process that measures the willingness and commitment of participants to the program requirements. Ensures proper documentation of signed program agreement.
Completes initial intake, needs assessments, and other program enrollment forms and acts upon critical needs of the client.
Presents to the early childhood community the program and its benefits.
Assists program participants with creating measurable and attainable goals and discusses their needs and goals on a regular basis. Collects data and maintains client folders that will include goals, progress, and outcomes.
Works collaboratively with other organizations and partner agencies to plan and coordinate services to meet the needs of the early childhood workforce.
Collaborates with other departments within the Institute to better serve the early childhood community.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of nine credits in Early Childhood or Child Development Education
Two years of experience working with Early Childhood Educators or in a Child Care setting
Knowledge of:
Adult learning principles
Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
Skilled in:
Delivering a high level of customer service
Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
Group presentation, individual coaching and counseling skills
Mentoring team members to develop goal setting plans, share knowledge and experiences
Ability to:
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
Research information for problem solving
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
Regular physical attendance required
Valid Florida driver’s license

Life Coach certified by an institute that is accredited by the International Coaching Foundation
Skilled in:
Video editing and animation

The minimum base pay for this position starts at $48,908.00.00 annually; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate’s education and experience.
