Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Professional Engineer role based in West Palm Beach, FL. The Senior Professional Engineer will lead and oversee various engineering projects, ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and project timelines. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing design plans, managing budgets, supervising technical staff, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and providing expert engineering advice to internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
Qualifications
- Engineering Design and Project Management skills, including experience with design plans, technical specifications, and construction oversight
- Regulatory Knowledge and Compliance skills, such as familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting processes
- Analytical and Problem-Solving skills with the ability to develop and implement solutions for complex engineering projects
- Strong leadership and supervision capabilities to manage technical teams and coordinate with contractors and consultants
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presenting findings, and collaborating with stakeholders
- Proficiency with industry-specific software and tools for modeling and analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Florida or ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related field of Engineering
- Experience with municipal/environmental engineering projects is highly desirable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
• Experience in project management on roadways and highways with geometric and drainage design, and
• Experience working with local government agencies and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
