Assistant/Associate Professor of Philosophy of Religion or Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) invites applications and nominations for a visionary and mission-driven leader to serve as Assistant/Associate Professor of Philosophy of Religion and/or Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Ministry. This unique dual-role position offers a rare opportunity to shape theological education through both academic leadership and classroom engagement, preparing students for faithful service in the church and world.

The School of Ministry is a dynamic community of scholars and practitioners dedicated to equipping students for ministry, missions, and leadership in diverse contexts.
The Role
The successful candidate will bring a deep commitment to Christian higher education, a passion for Philosophy of Religion scholarship, and the administrative acumen to support academic excellence across the School of Ministry. This position combines strategic oversight of academic programs, curriculum development, faculty support, and accreditation processes with teaching, mentoring, and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads academic program planning, scheduling, and assessment.
- Supports faculty development and evaluation.
- Coordinates accreditation documentation and compliance (ATS, SACSCOC).
- Teaches undergraduate courses in Apologetics and graduate courses in Philosophy of Religion and related disciplines.
- Mentors students in academic, professional, and spiritual formation.
- Collaborates with the Dean and university leadership on strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Philosophy or Philosophy of Religion, required.
- Congregational ministry experience is preferred.
- Must have a proven record of effective teaching, scholarly engagement, and academic leadership.
- Proven interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Requires a commitment to the integration of faith and learning.
- Alignment with the World Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith is required.
