Parking and Transportation Assistant
Summary
In support of the university’s mission and objectives, the Parking and Transportation Assistant provides clerical and administrative support; processes permit and citation paperwork and assists with customer service needs and digital communications.
Essential Functions
Administrative Support:
-
Performs data entry, record keeping, filing, and reporting tasks.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date parking and transportation records.

Distributes official correspondence and responds to routine inquiries.
Permit and Citation Processing:
-
Processes parking permit applications, renewals, and cancellations.

Reviews decals and citations for accuracy and ensure records are maintained.

Reviews and assigns reserved/guest parking requests.
Customer Service:
-
Provides front-line support to students, staff, and faculty.

Troubleshoots concerns and provides information via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Digital and Web Content Support:
-
Assists in updating parking and transportation-related content on the university website.

Assists in developing user-friendly web forms
-
Ensures online resources are accurate and accessible.
Promotional Materials and Design:
-
Creates flyers, posters, and digital graphics using tools such as Canva.

Supports departmental outreach and communication efforts across the university
Special Projects:
-
Assists the unit supervisor and team with ongoing and one-time projects that enhance transportation services and support administrative needs.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High school degree required
- Candidates pursuing or holding an associates degree or higher, preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ years of administrative or clerical experience required.
- Experience in administrative support, customer service, or parking/transportation services, particularly in a university or public safety setting, preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work non-routine hours during certain times of the year
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
