ROLE SUMMARY
Northern Trust Asset Management is a trillion dollar investment management firm entrusted by investors around the globe to help them navigate changing market environments, so they can confidently realize their long-term objectives.
The Consultant, on the Global Fee Management Team, within the Northern Trust Asset Management COO organization, is primarily responsible for supporting the development, compilation, review and distribution of client invoices across diverse portfolio strategies including fixed income, equity, multi asset class, OCIO, and funds. This role is instrumental in helping to drive future invoicing capabilities and infrastructure to meet the revolving needs of the organization.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
Supports the development, compilation, review and distribution of client invoices
Serves as the subject matter expert for current invoicing capabilities and infrastructure
Helps drive future invoicing capabilities and improve platform/infrastructure
Execute daily operational activities independently, working proactively and autonomously while maintaining a strong focus on risk mitigation at all times.
Serves as the subject matter expert on specific Asset Management product offerings with familiarity across all product offerings.
Delivers a work product with a keen attention to detail and minimal oversight
Able to facilitate difficult discussions and reach reasonable decisions for all parties involved
Stays abreast of investment reporting capabilities and solutions across the asset management industry to ensure NTAM is competitively positioned
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Ability to operate in a deadline driven environment while still maintaining a strict attention to detail and ability to prioritize issues appropriately
Conceptual knowledge with Investment Management applications and systems such as Aladdin Blackrock, Eagle, and Oracle Revenue Management Billing preferred
Solid business analysis and project management stills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
NECESSARY EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
2 - 4 years of experience in investment operations, fee billing, or other related field.
Asset Management experience highly preferred
Experience with process automation, business analysis
Salary Range:
$57,665 - 95,095 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
