Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 60 Firm, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our Affordable Housing Team in either our Orlando, Boca Raton, Miami or West Palm Beach office.

A Day in the Life

We are seeking a skilled paralegal with Affordable Housing experience to join our team. You’ll be working directly with our Affordable Housing team’s attorneys and paralegals on their commercial real estate deals. Utilizing your experience, you’ll work in commercial real estate development, dispositions, acquisitions, leasing, and financing, assisting with daily needs including document drafting, research, digital file management, closings, and post-closing, and you’ll have direct interaction with vendors and clients. Managing workflow is critical to this role. Your leadership and well-developed organizational systems and efficient processes will pave the way for successful outcomes.

We Know You

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience as a commercial real estate paralegal. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. The candidate must demonstrate strong technology and analytical abilities, with the ability to analyze and interpret information in transactional and corporate documents. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, as is a strong sense of accountability, ownership of projects, and a proactive approach to resolving issues. The ideal candidate that we are looking for is excited to work in the commercial real estate field with a sophisticated statewide practice. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess information, anticipate potential issues and outcomes, and make sound decisions. Working under strict deadlines for very demanding clients is a breeze. Your process management and legal skills are matched by your exceptional communication skills. You work well in a team environment and can easily learn new concepts and systems put before you.

We are seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, along with a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program.
