Nason Yeager is a multi-service law firm offering a broad range of legal services since 1960. Our Palm Beach Gardens office is currently seeking an experienced Billing Coordinator. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys and legal assistants to ensure the accurate and timely preparation, review, and distribution of monthly client invoices while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism, and client service.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • College degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive billing experience in a law firm environment.
  • Experience with Aderant Expert billing software is preferred.
  • Strong technology skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Thorough understanding of legal billing practices, attorney timekeeping, client matter management, and invoicing procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing exceptional internal and external client service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
  • Proven ability to multitask, organize workflow, and manage time efficiently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.

Candidates must have experience including:

  • Processing, reviewing, and generating monthly client invoices utilizing Aderant software or comparable legal billing systems.
  • Reviewing, editing, and finalizing pre-bills in response to attorney and legal assistant requests.
  • Researching, analyzing, and resolving billing inquiries, discrepancies, and client questions.
  • Handling and processing a high volume of complex client bills while ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm and client billing requirements.
  • Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of billing information, attorney time entries, costs, expenses, rates, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitoring billing deadlines and ensuring timely invoice distribution.
  • Working collaboratively with attorneys and support staff to address billing matters and improve billing efficiency.
  • Identifying billing issues, reviewing account activity, and recommending solutions when appropriate.
  • Utilizing strong analytical skills to reconcile billing discrepancies and ensure accurate client account information.
  • Maintaining organized billing records and supporting documentation in accordance with firm procedures.
