Job Description Summary:

Senior Manager, Data & Analytics (Modernizing Medicine, Inc.; Boca Raton, FL): Architect and implement sophisticated big data processing pipelines using PySpark and Databricks, with an emphasis on optimizing data throughput and processing capabilities. Oversee a team of data engineers and analysts to enhance and maintain ModMed’s big data and analytics platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. Leverage Airflow for the automation and orchestration of complex data workflows, maintaining data integrity and availability across systems. Work closely with product management and customer experience teams to design, develop, and deploy intuitive BI solutions that meet the needs of customers, enhancing user engagement and satisfaction. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning, keeping abreast with the latest trends and advancements in big data, analytics, and cloud technologies. Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance frameworks across all big data and analytics platforms, with a special focus on AWS and Databricks security practices. Supervise 5 employees and 7 contingent workers. Telecommuting permitted – must work a minimum of 3 days per week from Boca Raton, FL HQ office.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or related field, plus six (6) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Data & Analytics, Data Engineer, or related occupation.

Must have experience with the following:

  • Leadership within data analytics or engineering;

  • PySpark, Databricks, Airflow, and PowerBI;

  • Big data architectures and processing techniques, managing large-scale data systems;

  • SQL and relational and non-relational databases;

  • Addressing and simplifying complex business challenges;

  • Mentoring and guiding high-performing data engineering teams;

  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS), including best practices for security, scalability, and efficiency;

  • Engaging with both technical teams and business stakeholders; and

  • Deploying customer-facing PowerBI solutions, with a focus on performance and scalability in a big data context.
