Production & Shipping Associate

DRSA is seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Production & Shipping Associate to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing quality products, and is comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities throughout the day.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded team player who can assemble products, perform light electrical wiring, assist with shipping and receiving, maintain a clean and organized workspace, answer phones when needed, and provide excellent customer service to showroom visitors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble marine lighting products and related components.
- Perform small electrical wiring, soldering, and basic electrical assembly.
- Inspect products for quality before packaging.
- Package orders accurately for shipment.
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx, USPS, and freight carriers.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory and assist with stock organization.
- Keep the warehouse, production area, and showroom clean, organized, and safe.
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally and direct calls as needed.
- Assist walk-in showroom customers with product questions and basic sales support.
- Help load and unload deliveries.
- Assist with general shop duties and special projects as assigned.
- Work efficiently while managing multiple tasks and changing priorities throughout the day.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, shipping, or electrical assembly preferred.
- Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform small electrical wiring and follow assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable using computers for shipping software and inventory management.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with low-voltage electrical wiring (12V/24V).
- Experience soldering small electronic components.
- Familiarity with Shopify, QuickBooks, or shipping software.
- Marine industry experience is a plus.
