Contract Forklift Driver – MRAA Dealer Week (Boat Move-In and Out)

Position Type: Independent Contractor (Contracted under AEX for compensation & liability)
Positions Available: 6–8 Drivers
Move-In Dates: December 4^th, 5^th, 9^th and 10^th, 2026 (Estimated 12–14 hour days)
Preshow Meetings: Two (2) required Pre-show meetings prior to event
Compensation: $750 per day OR $60 per hour
Commitment Deadline: August 30th, 2026

Position Overview

AEX Convention Services is seeking experienced, forklift-certified drivers to support boat move-in and out operations for the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas annual conference and tradeshow, called Dealer Week. Members of this team play a critical role in ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient dock and exhibit floor process.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to assist with boat movement and positioning.
• Execute scheduled move-in and out plans alongside AEX leadership and dock team.
• Maintain strict safety standards in high-traffic environments.
• Communicate professionally with exhibitors and team members.
• Support efficient dock flow and exhibit floor organization.

Requirements

• Current Forklift Certification (Required).
• Experience operating versa lifts, telehandlers, and utilizing boat straps to move boats around.
• Experience moving various types of boats (pontoons, center consoles, wake, etc.)
• Ability to work extended 12–14 hour shifts.
• Attendance at two (2) preshow coordination meetings.
• Professionalism, reliability, and strong safety awareness.
