Compensation Range
The base pay scale for this position is $152,140.51 - $167,890.51. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doing
Competencies/Duties:
Provide clinical consultation, assessment, and management to patients.
Conduct outpatient evaluation, treatment and follow-up of surgical patients as directed by the supervising physician.
Provide pre and post-operative and discharge education to patients and family members with regards to safety issues when applicable (e.g., medication, post-operative precautions, use of equipment, etc.).
Review/interpret patient imaging and lab results; communicate results to patients and provide follow-up treatment and education.
Communicate effectively and appropriately when educating patient/family in regard to their medical condition and/or hospital course.
Document progress patient has made toward desired outcomes.
Utilize the computerized order communication system, including transcription of medical orders, retrieval of test results and documentation of results.
Maintain clear and legible history and physical documentation and all other written reports.
Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Complete any relevant patient paperwork such as medication prior authorizations, plan of care, etc.
Potential to assist surgeon in operating room.
Promote cooperation through teamwork.
Other duties as needed for effective and safe patient care.
Requirements:
Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited physician assistant school or school of nursing
Licensure as an FNP and RN or PA in the state of NY
Board certification as an FNP or PA
DEA
CPR certification: BLS
2+ years of PA/NP experience; experience in managing patients with low back pain preferred
Ability to prioritize issues, resolve conflicts and communicate with all levels of the organization
Experience working with and motivating patients to achieve personal care goals
Team oriented and energized by serving as a major contributor to scaling care management offerings for ambulatory patients at HSS
Must possess ability to learn new software tools & systems as required on the job
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and pragmatic; energized by working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Qualifications:
Proficiency with Epic and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
