General Description:
We are seeking a Data Solutions Project Analyst to join our team. The Data Solutions Project Analyst is responsible for driving the firm's strategic data projects, programs, and initiatives. The Project Analyst supports the Firm’s data strategy and innovation efforts with technical project support, including planning and leading meetings, coordinating agendas and notes, aligning resources among various firm stakeholders, engaging project leadership on strategic objectives and decisions, and creating documentation. The Project Analyst, along with the project leadership teams, will develop project scope, schedule, budget, and ensure timely delivery, while maintaining a strong understanding of the overall department portfolio of work to ensure success in meeting project goals. In this hybrid position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues both in person and virtually.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
Draft project requirements, business cases, and executive summaries.
Define, review, and maintain project scope and plan, and track execution.
Identify and secure resources across stakeholders’ groups required to execute the plan.
Proactively address deviations from project plans or schedules.
Facilitate project meetings, including agendas, materials, and documentation.
Autonomously engage project stakeholder groups to meet project milestones.
Understand and translate cross-team dependencies into actionable plans.
Collect, document, and communicate statuses to the project team and K&I Leadership.
Communicate continuously with internal clients to confirm business needs are being met.
Manage change requests related to ongoing project plans to meet agreed deadlines. Consult with project leadership on risks to project delivery.
Document changes in procedures and operations as impacted by various projects and deliver among relevant parties.
Recommend improvements to existing systems, including design modifications.
Some travel may be required.
Special projects and duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Experience managing multiple priorities and tasks, particularly those related to data, cloud, analytics, AI, and related technologies and specialties.
Experience working within technical teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, with a focus on data engineering, data sciences, data governance, and intelligence solutions.
Ability to interact with technical, managerial, and executive-level staff, promoting innovation and knowledge sharing.
Ability to develop effective and collaborative relationships with various business services teams, lawyers, firm administrative departments, and vendors.
Champion for change management, process improvement, user adoption, and the constant evolution of complex data strategies and needs.
Demonstrated ability to engage in multiple complex assignments with competing deadlines and priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
2+ years’ experience in project coordination and business analysis roles.
Formal project management training.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
This position may be filled in Illinois or District of Columbia. The base salary ranges for this position are listed below. These ranges may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience. In addition to the base compensation, Holland & Knight provides bonus opportunities and an exceptional benefits package.
Illinois – $82,000 - $124,000/yr
District of Columbia – $90,000 - $136,000/yr
