The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned, growth-minded Senior Litigation Associate (7+ years of experience) to step into a high-visibility role within our litigation practice.

This is not a role for an attorney who wants to sit in a back room document-reviewing. You will have immediate, front-line responsibility—managing complex cases independently, driving strategy, commanding courtrooms, and serving as a primary advisor to high-value clients, all while working collaboratively with the firm’s partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Litigation Strategy: Manage complex commercial disputes from initial intake and pleadings through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Command the Courtroom: Take the lead on high-stakes motion arguments, depositions, mediations, and hearings, with immediate opportunities for first-chair experience.
• Client Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering clear, strategic, and results-oriented counsel.
• Firm Mentorship: Act as a senior leader on the ground in New York, collaborating on firm operations and helping mentor junior associates and clerks.

What We Are Looking For

• Credentials: J.D. from an accredited law school and active, good-standing admission to the New York State Bar (required).
• Experience: 7+ years of dedicated commercial or civil litigation experience within New York state and federal courts.
• Skillset: Exceptional legal writing and analytical acumen. You should have a proven track record of drafting winning briefs, summary judgment motions, and appellate arguments.
• Courtroom Confidence: Substantial experience handling oral arguments and taking/defending critical depositions independently.
• Mindset: An entrepreneurial, self-starting attorney who thrives on autonomy, manages high-stakes deadlines seamlessly, and takes extreme ownership of their caseload.
