Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Nursing Admissions Assistant- Boca Raton, FL.
The Nursing Admissions Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for the College of Nursing admissions process. This position is responsible for managing applicant data and records, evaluating academic qualifications for admission eligibility, coordinating applicant interviews, and supporting students throughout the onboarding process. The role serves as a key liaison among prospective students, faculty, academic advisors, and university departments to ensure a seamless transition from application to enrollment. Additionally, the Nursing Admission Assistant monitors applicant progress, maintains compliance with university policies and accreditation requirements, safeguards confidential student information, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the admissions experience and operational efficiency.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Utilize and manage student data within NursingCAS and internal student information experience.
Perform evaluation of academic transcripts to determine program eligibility and prerequisite completion.
Assist with student onboarding including guiding students through background check and admission process.
Coordinate applicant interviews.
Monitor applicant files to ensure all required documentation is received, complete, and processed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with college faculty, academic advisors, and university departments to facilitate admissions and onboarding processes.
Track applicant progress through the admissions cycle and proactively communicate outstanding requirements.
Ensure compliance with university policies, accreditation standards, and nursing program admission requirements.
Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance the applicant experience and streamline admissions operations.
Support processing of admitted student files and transition of students from applicant to enrolled status.
Maintain confidentiality of student records in accordance with FERPA and university guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience required.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
Proficiency in the use of computer applications and business software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to manage documents, correspondence, data, and reports efficiently required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Master's degree with two years of appropriate experience.
Previous experience with transcript evaluation
Experience with NursingCAS or specialized higher education CRN/application software
Salary:
$29.00 - $31.00 per hour.Other Personnel Services (OPS)
