Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Health Promotion Coordinator. - Boca Raton, FL.
The Health Promotion Coordinator in the Office of Owls Care Health Promotion at Florida Atlantic University will play a critical role in planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based, peer-led health promotion programs and services. Oversees the development and enhancement of the Owls Care Leader program, ensuring alignment with health promotion theory, best practices, and student development principles. Provides leadership and support to the Owls Care Leaders, facilitating their growth and ensuring their contributions to the health and well-being of the Florida Atlantic student community.
Summary of responsibilities:
Program Development: Design new, innovative, and peer-led health promotion programs using qualitative and quantitative assessment tools to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
Health Communication Campaigns: Develop and execute targeted health communication strategies to increase awareness and engagement on key health topics.
Workshops and Presentations: Create and facilitate engaging workshops, presentations, and seminars for students on various health and student development topics.
Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct ongoing program evaluations to assess the impact and effectiveness of health promotion and peer education activities. Use data to modify and improve programming to meet the evolving needs of the campus community.
Collaboration: Work closely with campus partners, including student organizations, for training and collaborative events.

Health Education: Stay up-to-date on the latest public health and peer education trends, research, and best practices to ensure that programs reflect the most current best practices.
Outreach: Provide health and wellness information and resources to the university community through various media, including social media, newsletters, and posters.
Owls Care Leader Program:
Develop strategic plans, goals, and measurable objectives for Owl's Care Student Development Programs, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.

Actively collaborate with campus partners, faculty, staff, and community professionals to provide ongoing education, training, and development opportunities for Owls Care Leaders.
Incorporate National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) competencies into the Owls Care Leader curriculum to promote student development and employability.
Lead recruitment, training, supervision, performance review, and retention of Owls Care Leaders, ensuring alignment with the University’s mission and health promotion goals.
Ensure that information related to the Owls Care Leader program on the Owls Care Health Promotion website is accurate, up-to-date, and reflects the most current program developments.
Create a culture of teamwork, responsibility, and growth by fostering an environment of open communication, student empowerment, and leadership development.
Assist in scheduling student development and health education workshops, training, and other developmental opportunities to ensure that the goals of the Owls Care Health Promotion Office are met.
Ensure compliance with Division and University policies regarding student employment and related procedures.
Administer the NASPA Peer Education Survey to assess the effectiveness of peer-led programs and share the results with stakeholders.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.Salary:
