Position Summary:
The Student Athlete Success Center at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Administrative Services – Boca Raton, FL.
The Coordinator, Administrative Services supports the Student Athlete Success Center by managing key administrative, financial, and operational functions while serving as a central liaison to campus partners. This role oversees departmental records, student employment, and day-to-day operations, while also contributing to student-athlete success through academic advising, development programming, and collaborative engagement with coaches, advisors, and campus stakeholders. The position plays a critical role in fostering an environment that promotes academic achievement, personal growth, and overall student-athlete development in alignment with University and NCAA standards.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Coordinate and implement administrative functions of department, including being a liaison to Controller's Office, Purchasing Office, Human Resources, Student Employment, and other FAU departments as needed.
Oversee financial and administrative records of department including timekeeping, p-card, purchasing, and employee records.
Recruit, hire, schedule, train, and supervise work-study and study hall student-assistants.
Responsible for coordinating and implementing all student-athlete development in conjunction with the Director of Student-Athlete Development to complete programming, department celebrations, and recognition events.
Provide academic advising, career, and personal counseling to student-athletes.
Utilize knowledge of University and NCAA rules, regulations and course requirements.
Serve as academic advisor to a designated caseload of students to help them build the necessary skills for academic success.
Work collaboratively with college advisors to ensure that student-athletes receive appropriate academic advising.
Work effectively with coaches to promote an educational atmosphere that promotes academic achievement.
Meet with prospective student-athletes and their parents to provide an overview of the academic opportunities at the University.
Work at Student Athlete Success Center and Athletic sponsored events and functions.
Serve a secondary student-athlete development coordinator to coordinate administrative projects and other assignments as assigned by the Director of Student-Athlete Development.
Oversight of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Coordinate with student-athletes to complete the textbook processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of appropriate experience required.Preferred Skills, Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
Excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with academic eligibility guidelines based on NCAA.
Salary:
