Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Testing and Certification - Boca Raton, FL.
The Senior Coordinator, Testing and Certification oversees day-to-day computer-based testing operations across multiple labs, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant exam administration. This role supervises staff, coordinates testing schedules and registrations, maintains documentation and training materials, supports students and external test candidates, and serves as a primary point of contact for testing services while upholding all institutional and regulatory confidentiality standards.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Supervise all aspects of computer testing in five computer labs with 90 workstations.
Meet regularly with the Director, Senior Associate Director, Associate Director, Coordinator, Support Personnel, and OPS to discuss week-to-week operations.
Maintain the monthly and daily staff schedule.
Supervise and evaluate the Coordinator, Support Personnel-Test Specialist and OPS-Proctors.
Assist with administering exams.
Supervise and maintain file documentation for all tests.
Operate computers and specialized software and other equipment.
Train all personnel regarding checking identifications, setting up exams for test candidates, administer security procedures, set up workstations to assure a controlled testing environment.
Supervise the close-down phase of the computers after testing is completed.
Develop, maintain, and train others, using a detailed training manual for testing; periodically, update the manual.
Coordinate FCLE/FCLT Florida Civic Literacy Exam/Florida Civic Literacy Test) registration process for in-person and remote exams.
Coordinate correspondence exams process for local, national, and international exams.
Attend periodic training programs as a participant or trainer, including, but not limited to, briefing the department regarding operations, policies, and procedures for Testing and Certification.
Ensure the dissemination, schedule, and written materials on all computer testing.
Resolve questions from potential test candidates, FAU students, and others, about test registration and processing requirements.
Act as a primary source for computer test registration of FAU students, as well as those coming from other institutions.
Handle telephone calls and provide information to department visitors on an on-going and as-needed basis.
Assist with the scanning and make-up test process for Professors and Teacher Assistants.
Provide information about test dates, deadlines, and fees for local, state, and national programs, using Registerblast to schedule appointments. (Appointments for other computer-based tests that are administered in Testing and Certification are done by candidates online.)
Attend and contribute to departmental and interdepartmental meetings of mutual interest, such as orientation, presentations to student orientation leaders, and presentations to athletic department and athletes.
Uphold confidentiality policies as determined by the federal government, state, university, department, and testing entities.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Master's degree and two years appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree four years of appropriate experience.
