Position Summary:
The Test Preparation Department is seeking Test Prep Instructors in Boca Raton, FL.
Test Prep Instructors teach the strategies, quantitative and/or qualitative skills, and problem-solving methods required for success on standardized exams such as the GRE, GMAT, SAT, ACT, GK and LSAT, at FAU's Boca Raton campus (In-person and Live Online Courses are available).
While this hiring round prioritizes math-focused instructors, we are always interested in talented educators who can teach other test prep subjects, including verbal content.
This role requires the ability to deliver engaging, structured lessons grounded in a solid understanding of standardized test content and effective test-taking strategies. Our instructors help students build confidence, master key concepts, and improve their scores.
Key Responsibilities include:
Teach focused test prep courses in in-person and/or live online formats
Present clear, engaging lessons, and guide students through test strategies, problem-solving methods, and time management techniques
Develop and refine course syllabi, including reading and homework assignments
Track student progress and provide constructive feedback
Conduct detailed reviews of homework, practice tests, and exam strategies that effectively support student score improvement
Other job-related responsibilities as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in a related educational field, or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience, preferably along with a 90th percentile score on a standardized test offered by FAU Test Prep, is required. At least two (2) years of test preparation instruction experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong teaching, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to deliver engaging instruction, support student progress, and teach in both in-person and live online formats.Salary:

The selected candidate for this position is required to submit an official transcript sent directly from the institution for the Provost’s credential file prior to the first day of employment. Similarly, for degrees from outside the United States, the evaluation by an organization belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES), with an indication of the documents the evaluation was prepared from (official transcripts, diplomas, dissertation abstracts) is required for the Provost’s credential file prior to the first day of employment.
