Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Coordinator, Broadcast Productions - Boca Raton, FL.

The Assistant Coordinator, Broadcast Productions supports the planning and execution of live broadcasts for FAU. This role involves managing technical aspects of game-day production, coordinating staff, and collaborating with vendors to deliver high-quality broadcasts and videoboard show.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations and strategic planning of all broadcasting functions for Florida Atlantic Athletics events.

  • Proven ability to produce quality and consistent live broadcasts, while adhering to FAU brand guidelines and ESPN and conference production standards.

  • Oversee all technical aspects of live game production, including EIC, camera operation, replay systems, graphics, and audio engineering.

  • Collaboration with third-party vendors to deliver FAU Athletics productions to ESPN.

  • Working knowledge of Ross switchers, Blackmagic switchers, and NewTek 3Play.

  • Assist with scheduling part-time staff and interns for broadcasting and videoboard staffing at events.

  • Assist with training and development of student staff.

  • Ability to step into various broadcast roles during live FAU Athletics productions as needed.

  • Assisting with non-FAU Athletics events when streaming and/or videoboard services are needed.

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of existing technology and engineering in a control room.

  • Stay current with broadcast trends nationwide.

  • Assist in identifying, recruiting, and scheduling talent for each broadcast.

  • Assist with maintenance and proper care of FAU’s broadcast production infrastructure.

  • Ability to take initiative and be creative in enhancing the FAU brand through live broadcasts and videoboard shows.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.

Implement visual and acoustic solutions quickly, especially as timing is important in live video streaming and broadcasting required.

Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per year.
