Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Senior Transfer Evaluator - Boca Raton, FL.

The Senior Transfer Evaluator serves as the lead for reviewing and evaluating application materials and degree audits for undergraduate transfer student applicants. A member of the undergraduate admissions team and subject matter expert in ensuring transfer students experience a smooth transition into the Florida Atlantic community.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Apply institutional policies to determine admissibility to programs and upper-division status.

  • Maintain knowledge of academic advising policies related to time to degree, excess credit hour surcharge, catalog year rules, and degree audit exceptions.

  • Partner with college academic advisors to clarify program progression, remaining coursework, and anticipated graduation timelines for high-credit transfer students.

  • Coordinate with Enrollment Processing, Registrar’s Office, and academic departments to resolve credit discrepancies or unique transfer cases.

  • Track and regularly run reports on status of applications for the high credit transfer population from application to decision.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of state-wide articulation agreements, common prerequisite manual (CPM), and program-specific requirements.

  • Communicate regularly with departments regarding curriculum updates, prerequisite expectations, and degree progression needs for high-credit transfers.

  • Represent Undergraduate Admissions at college meetings and provide data/feedback on transfer student trends and challenges.

  • Provides outreach and support to students applying with excess credits to ensure timely submission of documents, onboarding steps, and answers questions regarding their application, credits, decision status, and the appeals process.

  • Support enrollment initiatives by participating in admissions events such as open houses, orientation, etc.

  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Associate Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.

Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population, think critically and work collaboratively with other departments within the University.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Excellent customer service, problem solving and organizational skills and the ability to work independently on projects and to assist a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, parents and administrators.

Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and use independent decision making to ensure that projects are completed within deadlines while providing top service to our constituents.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Access and Word and demonstrated ability to learn new technology platforms (Banner, Workday, etc.) is essential to success in this position.

Salary:

$55,000 - $58,000 per year.
