Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Student Recruitment & Retention Specialist - Boca Raton, FL.
The College of Social Work and Criminal Justice inspires and prepares ethical, culturally competent, and innovative professionals who analyze, implement, and evaluate criminal justice and social welfare policies, practices, and technologies, provide direct services to populations in need; and promote wellness and well-being for individuals, families, and communities in South Florida and beyond.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Acquire, analyze and interpret student enrollment data related to state metrics and key performance indicators established by the FL Board of Governors.
Develop data-informed strategies to increase undergraduate/graduate student enrollment and optimize retention, academic progress, graduation rates, and other key performance indicators (KPI) related to student success outcomes.
Track academic progress of first time in college (FTIC) and transfer cohorts using university and college-level data sources.
Coordinate outreach efforts for at-risk students, examine roadblocks to academic success and work with applicable university offices and colleagues to identify and implement solutions.
Work in partnership with Graduate advisors and the Director of Advising Services to develop a common database management system for KPI tracking, recruitment and graduate advising needs.
Work in partnership with fellow Advising Services team members, the Director of Advising Services, the FAU Admission Office, the Associate Dean of the College and undergraduate/graduate program faculty coordinators to optimize college, school and program rankings at the national, state and university peer-college levels.
Participate in internal and external student recruitment initiatives and activities.
Implement college wide student recruitment strategies in collaboration with different units/departments.
Support departmental activities during evenings and weekends as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
Excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.
