Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University seeks a Program Assistant, Sociology - Boca Raton, FL.
This position provides administrative support to the department chair, faculty, and students. Manages contracts, reimbursements, grant proposals, and departmental communications. Coordinates marketing efforts and organizes and supports departmental events.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Administrative support including but not limited to contracts, reimbursements/expenditures, reports, oversees work-study students, and maintains supplies and emergency preparations.
Maintains department website and work with templates to add content as needed.
Maintains department records (student, faculty, financial, etc.). Assist chair with budget management.
Coordinates the graduate student application process, including awarding of GTA tuition waivers and fellowships.
Process student forms and faculty materials for graduate and undergraduate programs (e.g. overrides, grade changes, DIS applications, book orders, approved syllabi, etc.).
Arranges travel for faculty members and help with training in new university procedures.
Make arrangements for meeting department technology needs.
Monitor and maintain facilities and equipment and oversee correction of maintenance problems. Maintain faculty and department office security, including the handling of keys and Owl Card access.
Other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, with four (4) years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.Salary:
