Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Career Coach, College of Business Liaison. - Boca Raton, FL.
The Career Coach Coach, College of Business Liaison, reports to the Director of College and Faculty Engagement. This role serves as the primary connector between the Career Center, the College of Business Career Development Team, student organizations, employer partners, and students. The Liaison is responsible for cultivating strong partnerships with stakeholders, including businesses, community and government organizations, alumni, faculty, staff, and students. The Career Coach, College of Business Liaison, develops a deep understanding of career pathways within the College of Business and advances student success by delivering career readiness programs, expanding experiential learning and internship opportunities, and supporting meaningful post-graduation outcomes. In addition, this position supports the existing career ecosystem by strengthening faculty engagement, enhancing student involvement, and ensuring alignment with the Career Center’s initiatives and events.
Summary of responsibilities:
Serves as the Career Center Liaison to the designated colleges and organizations and represents the Career Center both internally within the university and externally throughout the community.
Partners with the College of Business Career Development Team to assess the career readiness needs of students, and in collaboration with faculty and staff, develops programs, services, and resources to address those needs. This includes aligning with employer and industry expectations, addressing skill gaps, and preparing students with the career competencies required for workforce success.
Provides individualized career coaching to students and alumni on a wide range of topics, including major and career exploration (with Major Knowledge interpretations), résumés, cover letters, personal statements, internship and job searches, practice interviews, LinkedIn profiles, graduate school applications, and other career readiness opportunities.
Delivers presentations throughout the fall and spring semesters to classes and student organizations on career readiness topics, and hosts employer partners on campus, integrating them into programs and presentations to strengthen student–industry connections.
Collaborates with students and employers to expand experiential learning opportunities that lead to full-time employment, including internships, job shadowing, and other forms of applied learning.
Registers students for the Professional Internship Course and assists with enrollment in college-specific internship courses.
Actively participates in college-led events to promote career readiness and student engagement.
Builds and sustains partnerships with student organizations, clubs, and faculty to support career development initiatives.
Collaborates with the employer engagement team to develop and coordinate career initiatives, programs, and college-specific events that increase employer involvement with the colleges, organizations, and the university.
Supports the delivery of other core Career Center programs and activities as needed.
Assists the Director of College and Faculty Engagement in organizing and facilitating industry-to-classroom roundtables to identify workforce skill gaps and provide actionable insights for curriculum development and enhancement.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience required.Salary:
