Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Case Intake Coordinator - Boca Raton, FL.
The Case Intake Coordinator reports to the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX (OCR9) Executive Director and Associate Director on all compliance intake and investigative matters under the OCR9 purview. Coordinates the intake and assignment of all OCR9 reports and complaints filed to ensure cases are moved through the workflow in a timely manner. Ensures FAU maintains compliance with Title VI, VII, and Title IX laws (state and federal), as well as university policies and procedures. The Case Intake Coordinator works closely with the OCR9 investigative team to determine which reports fall under the office's jurisdiction.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Oversees the online University reporting database and manages the OCR9 case reporting log.
Manages intake, processing, and assignment of all Title IX and Civil Rights reports and complaints filed with OCR9.
Works closely with OCR9 investigative team to assess which reports fall within OCR9's jurisdiction.
Responsible for evaluating and analyzing reports and complaints, including setting up intake case folders, initiating outreach communications, and gathering relevant information to determine whether cases proceed to investigation or are redirected to appropriate university departments.
Completes Intake Analysis, Safety/Risk Assessments and prepares written analyses of reports and complaints.
Prepares and sends out Notice of Investigation to Complainants and Respondents; Holds Pre-Investigation Meetings with Complainant and Respondent.
Coordinates with Student Affairs, FAU PD, Victim Services, Respondent Services, CAPS, Employee Relations, and other appropriate offices related to Title IX and Civil Rights reports and investigations.
Plans and coordinates interim and informal supportive measures for students and others when appropriate.
Conducts Informal Resolutions as needed.
Provides clear, accurate guidance to University community members on OCR9 and Title IX matters.
Demonstrates strong multitasking skills and manages a diverse caseload effectively.
Communicates policies and procedures clearly, showcasing excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong writing proficiency.
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
Experience working within the Higher Education industry.
ATIXA training certification.
Trauma-informed training.
Salary:
