Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Programmer Analyst – Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities includes:

  • Develops in Java and Groovy and maintains and extends systems built on Grails, Ruby on Rails, and ColdFusion.
  • Works with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for maintaining or modifying front-end components as needed.
  • Follows and refines established software development lifecycle (SDLC) and migration processes.
  • Integrates systems using SnapLogic (a data integration and automation platform).
  • Writes, updates, and optimizes SQL queries across Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Works with various workflow tools, assisting with code changes as needed.
  • Promotes code reuse and consistent design patterns across projects.
  • Maintains clear documentation for support tickets, project tasks, user stories, and codebases.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves bugs in custom software and system integrations.
  • Assists requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment in proven and unproven technologies. This may include data model development, software architecture and design, and automated builds and testing.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of unit tests, UI tests, load testing, fault tolerance testing, and user story validation.
  • Works with stakeholders to gather requirements for bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Works in an agile environment setting, working on user stories, features, and epics.
  • Assists with technical impact analysis and provides effort estimates for assigned work.
  • Collaborates closely with other developers in a team-based setting.
  • Investigates support tickets to identify issues with data or application logic.
  • Works independently on support tasks and small to medium-sized projects, including the development of new applications when needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and one year of appropriate experience; or HS Diploma and 4 years of appropriate experience required.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

At least two years of experience with coding, working with SQL, creating queries and analyzing data, producing extracts, and supporting system jobs and integrations.

Salary:

$72,000 - $77,000 per year.
