Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an ADA Accessibility Coordinator - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Coordinate full accessibility audits for web-based information systems, software, and mobile applications for compliance with applicable accessibility laws, rules, regulations, and requirements. Provides guidance and consultation to ensure effective technical implementation of digital accessibility requirements for university systems.
Ensures accessibility considerations are incorporated in university systems’ designs and wireframes; provides guidance and remediation solutions; validates and prioritizes accessibility defects; evaluates code to identify root causes of accessibility issues.
Contributes to the development and maintenance of accessibility guidelines, processes, checklists, how-to documents, and web-based resources.
Conducts periodic system audits, tracking and reporting accessibility issues.
Provides technical assistance and remediation guidance to designers, developers, and quality assurance.
Serves on the Title II Accessibility Committee.
Works collaboratively with OIT, Public Service, OCR9, SAS, and the College for Online Learning and Continuing Education on reviewing accessibility policies and procedures to maintain digital accessibility compliance.
Identify, implement, and oversee tools for monitoring website accessibility. Provide training and technical assistance in Section 508 and WCAG 2.1AA, as well as the faculty staff roles and responsibilities in developing accessible web-based content.
Performs other job-related functions as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.Salary:
