Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in loading and securing precast concrete products onto trailers using chains, binders, straps, and other tie-down equipment.
- Ensure loads are balanced and tied down according to DOT and company safety standards.
- Inspect and maintain tie-down equipment.
- Work closely with crane operator during loading to position products correctly on trailers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including consistently wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
- This is a full-time position that may vary outside the normal work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Depending on the area you work in, the shift may require working in the early morning or at night and sometimes overtime, or weekend shifts to meet production needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No prior experience is required, however, previous work in construction, manufacturing, or similar fields is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance on a regular basis.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Capable of climbing onto trailers and working at heights.
- Can read or learn to read instructions on a tablet.
- Follows directions reliably.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
