This job operates in the manufacturing facility, on job sites, and in an office environment. This role requires time spent in the manufacturing plant as well as infrequent trips to FINFROCK locations, project sites, bank, and long-term storage facility.

Duties & Responsibilities
- The plant safety inspector will inspect work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, federal and site-specific safety policies and regulations.
- Document safety inspections, cite dangerous areas/procedures and recommend corrective procedures to Manufacturing Managers, Supervisors, and Foreman.
- Maintain safety equipment (PPE) supply and ensure availability.
- Become familiar with all applicable OSHA and company specific safety policies, overseeing FINFROCK employees and temporary workers in the manufacturing plant and ensure they are following OSHA protocols.
- Independently evaluate jobs/tasks and procedures performed in the manufacturing plant and recommend appropriate task modifications, PPE, or other appropriate actions.
- Work with people at all levels within the organization from a safety perspective.
- Assist with safety duties at FINFROCK Manufacturing facility in Apopka, FL
- Assists with purchasing duties, maintaining the approved vendor list, handling inventory adjustments and cycle counts.
- Interfaces with vendors for goods and services, creating and maintaining purchase orders, and managing MRO/maintenance purchases.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding quality, cost, service, stability, delivery, and insurance issues.
- Reviews requisitions for appropriate approval and account coding and works closely with the receiving department to ensure proper supplies arrive.
- Tracks delinquent purchase order arrivals and collaborates with F&A team members to resolve exceptions with vendors or suppliers, along with performing other related duties as assigned.
- All materials that arrive for delivery or pickup must have receipt paperwork scanned into the network. All materials include aggregates, plate inventory, erection materials, consumable supplies, fuel, Home Depot, Amazon, machinery, office supplies etc.
- Perform other safety or purchasing duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- A two-to-four-year degree is preferred, or a high school diploma or equivalent, with proven manufacturing safety experience.
- You have a working knowledge of manufacturing practices.
- You have the ability to interpret and apply OSHA standards.
- You have the ability to recognize and correct safety-related hazards and target any potentially unsafe conditions.
- You possess a current Florida Driver’s License with clean driving record along with appropriate automotive insurance.
- You have or are willing to obtain an OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification in General Industries. OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training can be obtained through FINFROCK Authorized Trainers.
- You have an OSHA 501 certification, or are willing to attend all training courses and testing required to obtain an OSHA 501 certification once all prerequisites have been met.
- You have an OSHA 511 certification or are willing to attend all training courses and testing required to obtain an OSHA 511 certification once all prerequisites have been met
- You have the ability to work long hours with regular travel.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
