The payroll tax analyst role will be responsible for timely analysis and filing of the employee tax records with the federal, state, and local. The individual should be highly motivated self-starter with the ability to research tax issues and has a strong attention to details.Job Description
About the Role:
- Perform registrations for new payroll tax accounts with state and local agencies.
- Balance and upload daily tax transmission file to ADP.
- Research and resolve tax issues for employee HR payroll cases Utilize ADP’s Smart-Compliance to audit and maintain payroll tax records in compliance with established standards.
- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reconciliation for federal/state/local payroll withholding and unemployment tax.
- Review and reconcile RSU monthly and quarterly.
- Provide support to the W2 and W2C process and procedure of all payroll tax related to amendments.
- Assist with agency notice resolution and internal and external audit & examinations.
- Ensure process documentation and standard operating procedures are always maintained and current.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 2-3 years of experience working with payroll tax operations in multi-company and multi-state organization.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within payroll tax.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to muti-task and take on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A commitment to delivery quality work and a strong desire to achieve excellent results.
- Team player, positive attitude, and passion for partnerships desired.
