About this role:
The Loan Operations Specialist efficiently and accurately processes routine and intermediate Loan Operations transactions and support functions.
In this role you will:
- Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.
- Process requests for payoff letters from clients, loan officers, and attorneys.
- Prepare Partial Release letters for construction loans and other collateral releases.
- Prepare CEMA loan assignment letters for NY loans.
- Process incoming wires to fully satisfy a loan's final payment requirements.
- Process loan transactions for branches, loan officers and external customers submitted via the Loan Operations email group.
- Perform general maintenance on accounts such as change of address and auto transfer/ACH requests.
- Respond to inquiries regarding loan payments, advances, address change, return checks and payment reversals.
- May perform general maintenance on accounts such as change of address and auto transfer/ACH requests.
- May perform General Ledger reconciliations and report reviews.
- May assist with audit responses.
Must haves:
- Strong “People First” interest and ability.
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state banking regulations.
- Strong knowledge of procedures and policies with respect to loan transactions.
- Familiarity with Bank security and safety practices.
- Knowledge of CNOB products and services.
- Knowledge of loan documentation (e.g., maintenance, review and filing of loans).
- Prior Banking experience.
Bonus Points For:
- Working knowledge of the nCino platform.
- Familiarity with Google application suite.
