As the Private Banking Regional Manager, you’ll lead, grow, and manage a team of experienced private bankers and advisors, driving business development and sourcing new opportunities for the organization. You’ll partner with Private Wealth Management, Private Banking leadership, and group practice leaders to develop and implement growth plans focused on loans, deposits, assets under management, and overall revenue. You’ll set the tone and pace for the market by actively participating in new client acquisition and retention, and by identifying business development opportunities for local teams — whether through direct market outreach, internal CIBC partnerships, or affiliated organizations. You’ll be accountable for the region’s balance sheet, profit and loss, and risk management metrics, ensuring portfolio quality and compliance. You’ll organize client acquisition campaigns, collaborate with internal and external partners, and act as an ambassador for CIBC Private Wealth Management at market events.
To help deliver a great client experience, you’ll be expected to work on-site full-time.
How You’ll Succeed
Regional leadership: You’ll lead the region private banking team, manage balance sheet, profit and loss, and risk metrics, and champion growth in loans, deposits, assets under management, and overall revenue.
Business development: You’ll drive new client acquisition and retention by organizing market campaigns, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for cross-business introductions.
People management: You’ll recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team of private bankers and advisors, set clear performance expectations, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
Client relationship management: You’ll build and deepen relationships with high-net-worth clients, serve as their primary resource for lending and deposit needs, and ensure delivery of comprehensive banking solutions.
Portfolio oversight: You’ll ensure portfolio quality and compliance, oversee deal structuring and underwriting, and maintain accurate risk ratings and reporting for the region.

You have a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, real estate, economics, or a related field. Formal credit training is a plus.
You have a minimum of 15 years’ experience developing and managing lending, deposit, and asset management relationships with high-net-worth clients, and are proficient in Microsoft Office products with advanced financial analysis and modeling skills.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected base salary range of $215,000 - $285,000 for the Dallas, TX market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
